Murphy International Development supported, in memorial, the Million Hour Tree Planting initiative in Dominica, West Indies. This effort was connected to the UNDP-GEF Small Grants Program, which supports community-level environmental projects designed to achieve global environmental benefits while reducing poverty and strengthening local capacity.

The Dominica tree planting initiative represented a community-based approach to environmental preservation.
